Why Bergabo?
Bergabo comes from an old Scandinavian name meaning “one who lives in the mountains.” It reflects our belief that nature should be experienced and explored without sacrificing comfort, confidence, or hygiene. Bergabo was created for people who traverse, navigate, and conquer, yet still desire the fresh, clean scents of the outdoors.
Founder Story
I started Bergabo at 19, not just to build a brand, but to solve a problem I grew up living with. Growing up in Colorado, I spent countless weekends camping, hiking, and exploring the mountains. Dirt, grime, and mess were just part of the experience — part of the rugged reality of being outside.
As I got older and started caring more about personal hygiene, I kept running into the same question: why can’t hygiene and outdoor living coexist? Why does taking care of yourself have to stop the moment you step onto a trail or into the backcountry?
Bergabo was born from that gap — the idea that you shouldn’t have to choose between feeling clean and living outdoors. I wanted to create products that fit the lifestyle I grew up with: simple, durable, clean, and built for people who actually move through the world.
